27th November 2008, The day I helped out Kate Moss and Jamie Hince on the KATE MOSS dept!
This photograph was taken as Kate Moss and boyfriend, Jamie Hince, walked into the Maternity entrance to our TOPSHOP flagship store, on Regent Street in London. They then walked down the escalators and wandered around the floor picking up bits and pieces… before coming over to my Kate Moss department; which may I add, I was damned to move away from until she had walked over. Then when she did I was actually shaking like a leaf, knee’s knocking together, sweaty palms. haha.
I grabbed her a few tops and a cardigan, which she politely took and popped into her basket. She was smiley, chatty and witty. More down to earth than I could ever have imagined! Jamie was just as lovely, offering a polite, “you alright” to me whilst Kate held one of her own dresses up. ROFL. Very funny. I’d love to have the CCTV footage!
So all-in-all, I was very impressed with Kate’s demenour. She looked amazing. TOTALLY in proportion. Not skinny, not gaunt, not scruffy. JUST NICE. And to be honest, better than I could have dreamed:)

Is Kate Moss pregnant?
Firstly, may I point out the obvious, this dress is DEFINITELY not something Kate would normally wear! It’s very shapeless, and ill-fitting, it’s also that hideous viscose clingy horrible material that shows EVERY LUMP AND BUMP! Now, is that something she wanted us to see? hmmm. I’m dubious. Everytime I look at this photograph I slightly despair;/ Kate just isn’t her glamourous self! SACK THE STYLIST! I just don’t like those one shoulder 90’s dresses either. They for some reason just remind me of ALL SAINTS (the band, not the indie store). Goodness knows why of course!
Secondly, as you can see by this very telling photograph, Kate does have somewhat of a little bump. This could be because of the light bouncing on the horrid material of her dress, or indeed it could actually be an ACTUAL pregnancy bump! I would indeed prefer it to be the latter. I really think Kate and Jamie Hince are good together, they just fit, he’s more reliable than Pete anyway! heh. (But in seriousness, I can’t keep comparing every relationship anyone has to Pete and Kate… this is straying somewhat from the point of this article).
ALAS, Kate and Jamie have announced one thing to close friends and family, they have stated they must all keep 18th December free in their diaries for an ‘exciting’ and ‘special’ party. It is believed that the couple are to announce “something”. So it will clearly either be an engagement, or Kate’s pregnancy.
So indeed, I shall keep you posted;o

Kate Moss for TOPSHOP: The Launch, Today, Tuesday 18th March.
Since my previous post on the range, Here , the range has launched….
I didn’t manage to have a look at the range, DESPITE being at work all day today – but I have to say, its realllly disappointing from looking at the TOPSHOP.com website.
The preview image showed the ‘Top Five’ items…
I really liked the look of the embroidered dress, 2nd left. But the dress looks really shapeless and much whiter on the website. I would have preferred it to look like the above image really, it looks much more vintage-y and quirky. The dress below looks rather like a dress from H&M to be honest, and with that in mind, theres no justification for the £60.00 pricetag.
-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP Embroidered Tunic Dress, £60.00.
As far as I’m aware this tunic dress didn’t even come into stores this morning;I have a feeling it’s going to be a repeat of the Spotty One-Shoulder Dress from the very first collection… where we only got a few sizes in each colour, and they leapt from the shopfloor as fast as they came in, leaving everyone sitting on eBay for hours on end!
-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, Daisy Print Tea Dress, £60.00
As for this dress, as always, it looks wonderful on Kate, and especially so in Ibizan sunshine! But as before, it looks cheap and not work 60notes. Infact, I’d go as far as to liken it to Primark!
-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, Yellow 50s Style Dress, £45.00.
-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, Aqua 50s Style Dress, £45.00
Now this dress I REALLY like and hope its in work tomorrow still. I’m torn between the Aqua and the Yellow though! Which to go for! They’re both lovely and perfect for a Summer Wedding I’m attending! I can’t decide at all, I don’t have a single dress thats Yellow, or Aqua, so I need an informed decision I think…
-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, “IBIZA” Sandal, £25.00
-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, “IBIZA” Sandal, £25.00
These sandals are really good value for £25.00, they’re 100% leather and will go with everything. At least theyre on par with Topshop anyway.
-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, ‘Top Hat Tee’, £20.00
-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, Spotty Bandeau Dress, £150.00
Yes you read right, £150.00 for the above dress! I don’t understand why, apart from it probably being from her Limited Collection (around 250 pieces are made and that is it… each piece is numbered). But STILL. I can guarantee that ASOS.com will have a copy in the next couple of weeks….
I’m quite attracted to this print, for some reason… I’d probably wear this t-shirt if not for the low cut neck line, I much prefer round higher collars.
I shall indeed have a good look at the collection tomorrow in ‘real life’ and hopefully my doubts will be reversed! But as a customer be aware you are limited to purchases through the range; one item, in one size, from each category. In other words, you can only get one dress for example, in one size; this is to reduce the amount of items ending up on eBay for instance, and to be fair to all customers, considering the limited amount of sizes available in stores.

Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, Spring/Summer 08.
TOPSHOP have finally released a very sneaky (and limited) sneak preview into the next installment of the Kate Moss for Topshop collection.
The range finally hits stores this Tuesday, 18th March, 9am. Be aware that some instore graphics and leaflets were misprinted and said Monday 18th March, but low and behold, you have to wait until the very next day – TUESDAY.
The collection is said to be an eclectic mix between Ibiza to Miami to India (and beyond)- taking in every single culture for inspiration and style.
The 5th installment of Kates range incapsulates pieces of a “Bohemian Traveller”, with floaty fabrics and aztec prints. Whilst she also encompasses chiffon dresses and blouses in a palette of ‘dusty hues’, circa 1940. There is also some Gypsy inspiration in broderie anglaise and scarf prints appearing on dresses and tops. Theres also talk of prom dresses, and Kates signature floor length red carpet glamorous gowns, hopefully another successful summer for the Kate Moss and TOPSHOP team!
Grazia has had a sneakier peek whilst the Sunday Telegraph (or it could be Times) is also running a lengthy feature. If you cant get to either of those publications I’m afraid you’ll just have to wait until Tuesday morning… I’m sure it’ll be another manic morning, despite the lack of hype this time!
The range will be available to view and purchase from on Tuesday 18th morning (dont quote me but its normally 6am-ish!) Whilst the stores will open at normal time, 9am, with most stores and concessions in department stores offering the range too.
