James literally bought this XBOX 360 Arcade console for the latest and greatest Grand Theft Auto release. He also bought Grand Theft Auto seperately. He’s selling both together as a neat package on eBay. He has completed GTA and subsequently has no need for this XBOX now (we’re not console players, apart from the Wii, but that doesn’t count!) So yeah, its ACTUALLY brand new!!

“Touch Wood” Necklace by Vivienne Westwood, worn by ME!

As I said in my previous post (click HERE!! ), the brand new “Touch Wood” necklace was made for me! I’m beyond superstitious these days and this necklace is just perfect – however, it was placed at the top of my “to buy” list ready for pay-day!

But James being James, met me after work as a surprise and took me straight to the Newcastle Vivienne Westwood store to have a look at the necklace – and there and then I fell in love with it! (as did James). So without further a do we made the purchase!:D I believe it’s Limited Edition aswell, so I’m rather glad loads of people won’t be wearing it and it will indeed remain special to me:)

All in al, a good purchase I feel!

Vivienne Westwood: Orb Necklaces.

Vivienne Westwood jewellery is classical, shows the signature style of the brand perfectly, has timeless beauty and isn’t (too) faddy, meaning it’ll go with everything (smart or casual!) and won’t go out of fashion next week. Which really you’d expect, considering the prices range from £50 onwards and upwards.

I absolutely adore the jewellery offered, I swoon everyday over the new items online and in my local Newcastle stand-alone store. Unfortunately for me however, I only own one piece of Vivienne Westwood jewellery, probably one of the more decadent pieces mind! Its the Bas-Relief Orb, with 3 rows of pearls choker necklace; priced at a mere £335! I am indeed very lucky, and probably shouldn’t complain, but hey-ho, I’m hard done by;o This beautiful necklace has 3 rows of graduated size pearls attached to a stunning 6.5cm Swarovski Crystal studded orb, the one I own is the same as the below; with the gold orb. This was a gift from my wonderful James for my 21st Birthday, so a very special necklace all round indeed.

So, I’m not going to outline a few of the other orb pendant necklaces on my ‘to buy’ list. I’ll not include the ‘Touch Wood’ one in this blog, but thats DEFINITELY my next purchase this pay day without a doubt!!

-Silver Orb Locket, £190.00

This is certainly one of my faves! I think it’s so sentimental, and I’ve got such a ‘thing’ for lockets, theres something a little bit more magical about adding a photograph and keeping it close to your heart:) The locket is made entirely of sterling silver; open its bottom half revealing heart shaped inscription: ” +qu’hier -que demain ” meaning (I love you) more than yesterday less than tomorrow. Beautiful.

-Gold Tiny 3D Orb, £140.00.

This lovely 3D orb is on a really long chain, so its abit more casual for my liking, but I love the gold and the 3D orbs!

-Enamel Orb Pendant, £70.00

The classic orb. This orb is on my Bordeaux red purse, so I’d really like this necklace to match (theres also matching earrings too!) ALSO, abit off subject, but I’m really debating over getting this particular orb tattooed as my next tattoo! I feel a homage to the great Ms. Vivienne is imminent in some shape or form! Thoughts please!!!

-Limited Edition Bow and Asymmetric Valentine Heart Pendant, £90.00

This necklace was released as part of a Limited Edition collection for Valentines Day 2008, as were the matching Brooch, Earrings and Bracelet, however, I think it would make a welcome place in any jewellery box and match any outfit as abit of a statement piece. Careful though, its Limited Edition!

“This unique New Spring/Summer 08 ‘Touch Wood’ Pendant features a Silver round disc with a piece of Wood and ‘Touch Wood’ engraved around the bottom. There is also a Mini 3D Gold plated Orb on the chain which can be moved around.

Well, anyone who knows me, knows how superstitious I am, about everything! I say “touch wood” around 5 times a day, AT LEAST. So when I saw the new Vivienne Westwood ‘Touch Wood’ necklace, I knew instantly, “THATS BLATANTLY MADE FOR ME!”

This wondrous offering from the Spring/Summer 08 range is currently only available online, via the http://www.hervia.com official website and is priced at a demure £70! bargain!

The only thing I’d change about this necklace however, is that I’d have used a full 3D orb as the pendant (as seen below); and subsequently, have the “Touch Wood” lettering around the orb’s sphere; rather than using a flat piece of silver. I think it would have been more visually appealing, and more to Vivienne Westwoods signature style; despite the small gold orb being attached in addition. What do you think?! Would it look better as a 3D orb, or is the above, just as nice?!?!?!
