We need money for moving to London! So look at this!

James literally bought this XBOX 360 Arcade console for the latest and greatest Grand Theft Auto release. He also bought Grand Theft Auto seperately. He’s selling both together as a neat package on eBay. He has completed GTA and subsequently has no need for this XBOX now (we’re not console players, apart from the Wii, but that doesn’t count!) So yeah, its ACTUALLY brand new!!

So please please PLEASE help us in our funding for our big bad move to the big bad smoke!

Clearly this package is well sought after, still! So get you bidding guns at the ready! [Please pass on the details of this auction to your family/friends/related parties! Thanks!]

FRIDAYS MUST HAVE: ALL SAINTS “Juliet” Tee.

FRIDAYS MUST HAVE:

Friday 11th April 2008.

“JULIET” Tee, by ALL SAINTS, £40.00

This tshirt has to be my favourite from ALL SAINTS so far… The vintagey punk graphic print to the front is of Debbie Harry, mirrored, with some graffiti detailing to the sides; such as “Saturday 13th May” and “£.250”.

The tee is plain on the back… and is made from simple white cotton; with a low scooped neckline, very all saints chic. I’m going to purchase this next week, and probably just wear it tucked into one of my tulip skirts, or possibly with skinny jeans and my killer RIVA2’s!

The t-shirt is available online at ALLSTAINTS.com and in the majorty of stores.

OTHER TITLES: FRIDAYS MUST HAVE!
Romantic Frill Dress from TOPSHOP.
Tulip Skirt from TOPSHOP.

Vivienne Westwood “Crap” Tshirt.
Miss S Chain Detail Bag.

FRIDAYS MUST HAVE: TOPSHOP Tulip Skirt.

FRIDAYS MUST HAVE:

Friday 21st March 2008.

Toothbrush Print 100% Silk Tulip Skirt, £50.00.

Well, lets start with the good before I go onto the bad with this stunning skirt…I WAS going to buy this skirt today. The fit is fantastic, and really flattering. The colourway is lovely, you’ve got loads of colour there to pick out and team together your shoes, accessories or cardigan with. In addition, most figures can carry off the Tulip shape as it hides a multitude of sins, what better?! I looked great with my Star Wars Vintage T-Shirt and oversized long cardigan, and t-bars after work today.

Right so unfort, onto the negatives…WELL, I hadn’t mentioned the pricepoint, which comes in at £50.00, justify it, how?! ALSO, with it being 100% SILK, this skirt is Dry Clean Only, so after a few wears you’ll end up spending a fortune on Dry Cleaning Costs. The thing is, I’d actually wear it as an everyday skirt, like one I have similar, from uniform this time last year actually (except thats Cotton and costed a whopping £28!), so obviously, the skirt would be prone to more wear and tear issues, so no, theres no justifying the pricetag and cleaning costs…In addition, the skirt is on the ‘cream label’ from TOPSHOP, which means its in limited edition and probably won’t be in stores for long; but it also means that you know loads of people won’t be wearing it when your out and about! BUT do not let that put you off:) This skirt is still amazing and the best I’ve seen in that style, so far!

This skirt is available in stores and online at TOPSHOP.com

Romantic Frill Dress from TOPSHOP.

Snake Print.

I’ve come across a lot of Snake Prints over the past week or so, so I thought it would be really fitting to write about my latest, and most favouritest (is that even a word? i think not!) find…

The wonderfully feminine and floaty Snake Print Skirt, from TOPSHOP, £40.

This skirt is absolutely divine, I’d personally wear it more casual, to work probably… with a cool vintage tee tucked in and a cardigan thrown over the top, and some cutesy t-bar for abit of height. BUT I really think it would work smartened up with a lovely blouse and some killer heels… bring on the RIVA2’s;o

The skirt is a very cool sheer fabric, layered, with a ribbon waistband and zip and hook fastening.

With the skirt being on the ‘cream label’ (which means these items are Limited Edition) be very quick into stores and online; because when its gone, its gone!

Available in stores and online at TOPSHOP.com

The Sunday Sun – 01.10.2006

Chic Boutique.

By Claire Briston, The Sunday Sun

This week we stray away from the high street and find ourselves revisiting the treasure trove that is Skirt.

Chic boutique
Left: Nanso jersey dress £78 Tatty Devine owl pendant £45 Amber butterfly pendant £37 Green leather clutch £50, all at Skirt White boots £59.99, Office.
Right: Black slit sleeve evening dress £75, by Modstrom Yellow eel skin shoulder bag £49, Tatty Devine cinderella necklace £45.

This boutique quaintly sits on the beautifully cobbled High Bridge Street in the heart of Newcastle’s cool city centre.

Skirt is quirky and sells unique and special items you’d never find anywhere else. Best of all, there are normally only one or two of each item, so you’ll never look like anyone else! Many are handmade . . . making your purchase feel extra special.

The autumn/winter collection has a very retro 1960’s feel that can be seen in the long, printed mac and jersey dresses we have featured.

The Ivana Helsinki knitted roll-neck top is slightly pricey at £100, but this is a buy you’ll cherish forever, while the top looks like it could have easily fallen from the catwalk.

Evening wear reflects a bygone era. The Nanso sage top and blue skirt are typical of the 1950s. However, it’s the 1940s-style £75 Modstrom black, slit-sleeve dress that steals the show.

Chic boutique
Left: Nanso sage jersey drawstring top £80 Nanso petrol blue skirt £55 Tatty DEvine octopus necklace £36 Navy leather bag £110.
Right: Nanso sage dress with crochet detail £78 Printed mac £105 Nanso large shopper £55 Tatty Devine brooch £30.

Skirt stock a variety of leather and eel-skin handmade handbags, as well as eel-skin clasp purses.

The majority of jewellery is by funky jewellery company, Tatty Devine. Locally, Skirt is the only place to purchase the radical Perspex pieces. Alternatively, you can purchase on-line at www.tattydevine.com.

All clothing this week is from Skirtcheck!!, unless otherwise stated.
