My New Favourite Design House: HALSTON HERITAGE.

Legendary American label Halston launched its hip diffusion line in 2009, and has since garnered a cult following amongst style-setters like Sarah Jessica Parker and Chloë Sevigny. The epitome of Studio 54 glamour, Halston Heritage evokes the brand’s timeless appeal reinventing archive pieces into effortlessly elegant silhouettes. Do like the original high-living Halstonettes, Bianca Jagger and Anjelica Huston and get retro-chic in asymmetric jersey dresses paired with oversized totes and clutches in silver, orange and cerulean.

James literally bought this XBOX 360 Arcade console for the latest and greatest Grand Theft Auto release. He also bought Grand Theft Auto seperately. He’s selling both together as a neat package on eBay. He has completed GTA and subsequently has no need for this XBOX now (we’re not console players, apart from the Wii, but that doesn’t count!) So yeah, its ACTUALLY brand new!!

So please please PLEASE help us in our funding for our big bad move to the big bad smoke!

Clearly this package is well sought after, still! So get you bidding guns at the ready! [Please pass on the details of this auction to your family/friends/related parties! Thanks!]

The Shoe Project.

I will endeavor through “The Shoe Project” posts reveal my love for the beauty and magic of SHOES!

Now I really never used to be a ‘shoe person’, not in the slightest and despite working on the Shoe Dept in Topshop for a living! But hey-ho, I’m now a full blown obsessive! I fear that my Sex and The City girls are half to blame for that! Damn you Carrie Bradshaw!

So with that in mind, I will be displaying the beautiful shoes I currently own and love, and the shoes I’m destined to totter around in, the shoes that are the fashion statement to an outfit, and the shoes ofcourse that will be on my infamous ‘to buy’ list; but I doubt I’ll ever be able to afford!

Up until, say a year ago, I wore my heels occassionally, mostly for a meal or a good nights worth of dancing.

Infact, once over I didn’t own a pair of heels, now thats all I own! And thank the lord for the invention! I’m a petite 5 foot something or other (ahem), and hey I need all the height I can get – my justification behind the recent purchase of my perfect Purple RIVA2’s 🙂

So onwards, and dare I say it… upwards!

Fashion Trends: Who Decides? [MINI-DOCUMENTARY]. 2006.

This is a Fashion Documentary I constructed in the 2nd year of my degree for the module, “Representing Visual Culture”.

I produced the majority of the the camerawork; I also set up interviews, wrote the interview questions, fully edited and adjusted the video on my personal software. I was graded a FIRST.

The Americana “Star Print” trend.

As you’ve probably seen, the new print trend on the street is the americana style stars; upon dark backgrounds. Kate Moss wowed the crowds and her public at her 34th birthday last month in Chanel’s ensemble. Her hair (most probably styled by her personal stylist, James Brown) was reminiscent of our dear Carrie Bradshaws curls. Kate also proved herself to be the star of the show with the star print theme following through to her face makeup. Moss, glamorously stepped out of her taxi in a beautiful faux fur coat and wedged heels and gracefully stepped into her party held at London’s fantabulous PUNK nightclub in SoHo; this is where Smash and Grab is held by the Queens of Noize.

However, this isn’t the first time the Chanel outfit has been out on display, Claudia Shiffer (below), was the first to wear it for a magazine shoot last year.

-Alexa Chung also wears Chanel, NME Awards (?)

So where can you purchase some star print to begin your way with the new trend this season? Well as always, ASOS.com is my first point of call online – its cheap as chips, and the quality is excellent!

-Star Print Tea Dress, £38.

Just like the print as seen on Kate Moss!

-ASOS Petite Star Print Tea Dress, £30.

I really think this print is similar to the ‘Clover Print Dress’, found in Kate Moss’s last collection from TOPSHOP.

-Alexander McQueen Lurex Star Intersia Knit CardiStar Print Jumper, £229.00

I absolutely adore this retro inspired jumper, I think it looks brilliant teamed with some simple skinny fit jeans! I think it’s a great idea from ASOS to provide a ‘Premium’ service also; other designers include, TWENTY8TWELVE, Chloe, Betsey Johnson, Christian Dior, PPQ and YSL just to name a few!

And not to leave the men out…

-Mens Star Print Tee, By Revolution, £30.

-Star Print Bandana, £5.
