Emma Watson And People Tree.

So what can’t Emma Watson do?

She’s a fully fledged filmstar, model and now has dabbled in fashion design by working alongside Fair Trade pioneer, People Tree.

While Emma has held her hands up and said she’s no designer, “I’m so pleased that I got involved, but I don’t want to take all the credit for being the designer because I haven’t trained as a designer or even gone to art college – in fact, I had no idea about the amount of work involved at the outset!”.

It’s admirable that she’s doing it for all the good reasons ‘celebrities’ should collaborate with fashion houses. She states in a recent interview, “Oh, I don’t have any plans to be a designer. I’m doing this range because I really care about fair-trade and ethical fashion…. I didn’t want this collection to be all about me. This is not a celebrity endorsement, it is about creating something that is genuinely a great idea and about making a difference through fashion.

Take a look at the collection below – even her model brother, Alex joined in the fun!

What do you make of Emma’s fashion endorsement?

Emma Watson at the London ‘leg’ of Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince Premiere.

This week saw the wordly anticipated premiere of the latest installment in the Harry Potter saga: Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince. Obviously, the worlds media had it’s attention on the young starlets themselves, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger). The young actors have grown up before our own eyes and the awful pap’s had their very own field-day at poor Emma’s expense.

Emma looked perfect in a vintage Ossie Clark printed dress that unfortunately did not agree with the dreadful British weather….

Emma couldn’t hide her low, low neckline from the camera’s glare. What a ‘boob’… oh dear, bad bad joke. Could not resist!

I do feel very sorry for Emma, and indeed the other young actors, the pressure from the media must be horrendous. Emma has been absolutely slated from all angles, but hey, at least she wore sensible none offensive underwear, which can’t be said for the majority of ‘celebrities’ these days. I think Emma has made the right decision to go to USA to study and have the proper teenage-hood she deserves (although, lets be honest, she shouldn’t have to flee).

Overall, I think the famous trio looked great at the premiere and have definitely earned their status’ as national treasures! ;o

Fashion Trends: Who Decides? [MINI-DOCUMENTARY]. 2006.

This is a Fashion Documentary I constructed in the 2nd year of my degree for the module, “Representing Visual Culture”.

I produced the majority of the the camerawork; I also set up interviews, wrote the interview questions, fully edited and adjusted the video on my personal software. I was graded a FIRST.
