I’m currently obsessing over the classic Gucci chain print! I got this red scarf about 5 years ago, I brought it out from the back of my wardrobe after seeing Cheryl Cole on the XFactor wearing the similar McQueen rope print top (below)
Alexander McQueen: Rope print and applique detail tank, $324
I’ve been browsing over ASOS.com more recently and absolutely LOVE IT. They’ve got Motel on there who’ve been using the chain print on all of their dresses, tops and even blazers (my FAVE-est thing ever! Oh hello MASSIVE Christmas list!)
MOTEL: Chain and dogtooth print blazer, £50.
MOTEL: Chain print dress with exposed front zip, £28
MOTEL: Chain print jumpsuit, £45
MOTEL: Exclusive to ASOS, Chain print dress, £40
You can purchase Motel merchandise online from MOTELRocks, ASOS.com and Topshop.com. Motel is also stocked in many Topshop stores as a store concession.
Today, so far, I’ve had 666 pages views. oo-er!
So what have you been reading about??
From week one of the XFactor LIVE shows style icon, Cheryl Cole, proved to us all that this years XFactor would be all about runway style.
In the first of the live shows Cheryl wore an Altier Versace caged skirt dress – Your perfect party frock this season!
Cheryl can pull of near enough all lengths and widths of skirt, I was perplexed at how she would sit through the show in the dress mind – but hey ho, she managed a-ok!
The caged skirt look is a style that goes waaaaaaaaaay back to around the Victorian times when a crinoline (caged type structure) was added under a skirt to give volume and a very definite shape. This style was thought of as upper class and very feminine. The caged skirt is back in fashion, this time worn over the skirt so you are able to see the structure itself – clever ;o
I’ve had a scout about and found ASOS were the current stockist to go to for this seasons shape.
ASOS BLACK: Organza Caged Dress, £100
This ASOS.com organza plum dress – what a beaut! It looks fabulously more expensive than it is too – bonus round!
You can also buy the simple caged skirt…
ASOS BLACK: Crinoline Skirt, £65
Now I have said for ages there is a small similarity between wor geordie gem Cheryl Cole and Hollywood starlet Eva Longoria – but this picture is absolutely UNCANNY to say the least! Thoughts?
…today the weather is absolutely HORRENDOUS! It is so so windy! Even @DerrenBrown thought so too earlier!
I was quite impressed he wrote to me on my twitter (I’m @judypink)
With this all in mind, lots more blogs to come this evening – albeit inbetween XFactor and the better half distracting me with C.O.D: ModernWarfare2!
