SATC2 Is Coming.

…I think I’m actually about to burst. I’m so bored of tightly closing my eyes and sticking my fingers in my ears when anything slightly SATC related comes up on the TV, in conversation or in magazines. I’m DESPERATE to just see it now!

Best thing is, I haven’t got a clue what happens! Thanks to my dutiful and dedicated self of course. (Massive lie to self, I know they end up in the desert? And I know Aiden makes an appearance – SHOCK HORROR indeed. That’s definitely all I know though).

BEYOND EXCITED MUCH?

To Clog Or Not To Clog?

As soon as the February 2010 VOGUE came out, with Alexa emblazoned on the front cover, wearing those faithful original CHANEL clogs, I think it was fair to say, we knew there and then, clogs would be massive this Summer. So, I think we have Alexa Chung to blame for the invasion of clogs in everyones SS10 collections and all the many CHANEL imitations we’ve already seen hitting the high street.

So, to clog or not to clog, that is the question? Take a look at my clog picks…

These are the original CHANEL clogs as seen on the SS10 fashion week runway.

Seanna, £68.00, Topshop.

(Topshop’s take on the CHANEL clog (not too sure how they get away with it, but hey ho!)

‘Howdy, £85, ASOS.com.

Selection of 3 clog styles, available from River Island, all £44.99.

Fur-lined Clogs by Miu Miu, $849.

Jimmy Choo and Marni’s take on Clogs.

‘Prima’, £85, Topshop.

(The studded sling back clog is pretty much the modern take on the Clog really).

SO! Will your Summer be all clogged up with clogs?

PS –  I hear that Clogs are a little bit tough… I found the below tips from lovely blogger, 5 inches and up.

I also have to share the best shoe fitting trick, that I had to use on these. Some of you may have heard of it, works best on leather/suede shoe that feels too tight and rub your feet..
1. wear the shoes on bare feet inside your house for a while so you know which part rubs and may cause blisters
2. buy moleskin tape/ fabric bandaid from the pharmacy and wrap a strip around the sore spot
3. soak your feet in water then dry them leaving the tape wet
4. wear your shoes with the wet tape on and the tight parts will mold perfectly to your feet, without stretching the whole shoe.

I’m struggling.

I’m REALLY struggling to log into WordPress right now. Not only that, but I’m REALLY REALLY struggling to copy my Tumblr posts over to WordPress. So, as a compromise, why not migrate with me over to Tumblr? My address is Judypink.tumblr.com.

I swear you will not be disappointed! ;o Life is a breeze!

Jourdan’s Blooming News

It has been announced that indeed, 19 year old Jourdan Dunn, the face of Topshop/Vogue covergirl is five and a half months pregnant!

What a surprise. Read the whole story at Vogue.com

Jourdan was fashion scouted in Oxford Streets Primark…but has since graced every fashion magazine cover and walked for no less than 50 runways over the Fashion Weeks in February 2009. Will she continue her model reign after the pregnancy?

The amazing Amos Jacket is now available to purchase online at http://www.allsaintsshop.co.uk

It’s been spotted on all the celebs (Peaches Geldoff and Nicole Appleton – as purchased by Liam Gallagher himself!), models (Erin O’Connor) and fashion editors (Vogue/Vogue.com) alike this week! I’m desperate for one! Better get there quick before they sell out! Can’t decide, black or moss?! Black is classic, classic rock ‘n’ roll, but I love the moss colour, it’s totally different! Help?!

Graduate Fashion Week, 2008.

Northumbria University were one of the top 5 Universities in the country to walk the Catwalk at this years Graduate Fashion Week. It’s nice to see my old University getting some recognition; it’s nice for people to be able to read my CV and actually know where/what Northumbria University is! AT LAST! rofl.

I thought it was brilliant that Vogue.com even showcased Heather Reid’s (from Northumbria) capsule on their front page; see below image.

-A design by Heather Reid, Northumbria University.

The event kicked off yesterday and will showcase a weeks worth of cool and very likely controversially edgy designs from the up and coming graduate talent.

Vogue.com said, “Louise Simmonds (Northbrook College) drew on the drama of the Italian renaissance to create tumbling ruffled and pleated collars while florals inspired Hannah Townsend’s (Colchester School of Art) bloom festooned and very wearable dresses, and Emily Bell (Northumbria University) brought us the cutest seaside collection of homeware pieces entitled Squawk.”

How exciting! I can’t imagine how good it would feel to be mentioned by VOGUE! I’d dream of that. So a very well earned pat on the back goes to the above girls! Well Done!
