Kate Moss for TOPSHOP S/S 09.

Well, this is my final Kate Moss for Topshop collection and I have to say it’s probably the busiest one I’ve ever launched! The product was ‘ok’. The Liberty London prints being the high light of course, but the rest of the collection seemed more A/W than S/S! There is a distinct lack of summery dresses and ‘holiday-gear’. But we were assured that there will be more summery clothes and bikini’s and the like for the High Summer launch!

Firstly, I have to point out the graphics for this launch. Whilst, I absolutely love the graphics, there is some computer ‘distortion’ which caused no end of confusion, and to be honest, a lack in sales of some items as they appeared different colours in the graphics to real life.

Liberty London Poppy Print Bandeau Dress, £65.00

As you can see between the graphic and the actual dress, there is a massive colour difference. Many people were put off by how blue this dress was… which is massively unfortunate. I actually really love this dress; but be aware, they do come up very small, might be wiser to go a size larger when purchasing. This poppy print was the most youthful of the Liberty prints, it also comes in a camisole. The other two Liberty prints are below, the one on the left is the Kate Nouveau print which was also splashed over a bag (£55) and waistcoat and camisole (£35). The beautiful whimsical print on the right is the Lilabell Print which is my personal favourite. The print was delicately scattered onto a 70s inspired tunic dress (£85), camisole (£40) and of course, the star-piece, the £280 maxi dress with supreme frill detail. The Lilabell print being the most expensive of all the fabrics in the collection.

Not only was it the UK Kate Moss Launch on Thursday 2nd April, it was also the Topshop/Topman NEW YORK launch; which Kate attended, wearing a few of the designs from the collection…

Stripe Flower Dress, £60.00

Green Maxi Dress, £120.00.

Also, this collection debuted her line of Lingerie. This included to sets of separates; a lace black bra and bottoms and striped flowered set, and the below ‘lace body’; which absolutely flew off the shelves!

Lace Body Suit, £30.00.

The Liberty Print items are all Limited Edition so if your local store holds these items, you’ll be best off snapping a piece up! They’ll be collectors items in years to come! PLUS super investment pieces for your wardrobe to boot! ;o
