ALICE R.I.P: May 2006- June 2009.
It’s official, my absolutely beautiful little vintage bicycle, also fondly known as Alice, has died. Her chain broke on a trip to Tesco and because she is an antique no chain is replaceable. Of course I am beyond devastated as she is my pride and joy, however we have decided to keep her as an heirloom and I am now on the search for another bicycle. Alice is also not replaceable and never will be, but alas I must move on, and frankly I can’t afford TFL’s ridic prices, nor can I tolerate their lack of actual transporting. Therefore cycle power it is!
I’m after a little shopper – Alice, to be honest, was a little too big for me, hence why I fell off (I couldn’t touch the floor when I was sat on the saddle), something like the below would be perfect! I’ve got the basket off Alice, so having a basket on the front isn’t a complete necessity; nor is colour because I’m likely to spray paint the new bicycle gold 😀
I can collect from London (and surrounding areas) and can pay cash on collection or you could even have a listing on eBay and I can pay via Paypal and have you send it via courier – whatever is easiest 🙂

Now that we’re looking for a new place, clearly it is only apt to share with you the current abode of which we have the pleasure of living in:)
When we decided to move to London last year, we also decided to finally get our own furniture! Which, to be honest, is quite a big thing! After renting for the last five years in furnished places we were desperate to get our own furniture and FINALLY be able to make our own mark on a place, really make it OUR OWN, and give it a personality. We had collected a few bits and pieces over the years, but its the big things like a bed and matress, coffee table, dining table and chairs we needed. So we drew up a massive list and off to IKEA we went…
Still getting it all together mind!

Once again, we’re back to the flat hunting!
Goodness knows how we managed it but we did find our amazing London Docklands apartment in the 2 day trip we made to the Big Smoke from Newcastle last summer!
This time we’d like to live in Zone 1. We’re thinking Northwards, somewhere like St. Johns Wood/Swiss Cottage way. We absolutely love where we live now, and the apartment is brilliant, we’ve got it just as we want it, but its just too far a trek! When we originally looked for places last summer we were taken around properties by an estate agent and his car, and just didnt realise how far away we were from central London! Turns out we’re an hour away in zone 3 (GALLIONS REACH, ON THE DLR), at the moment, and it’s just not conveinient!
SO, if you know of any nice apartments (or old houses that have the luxury of sound proofing) that are to rent around August, in the St Johns Wood (Zone 1, North London area!) please do let us know!
Thanks a bunch!
Ms. Judy Pink.
