We need money for moving to London! So look at this!

James literally bought this XBOX 360 Arcade console for the latest and greatest Grand Theft Auto release. He also bought Grand Theft Auto seperately. He’s selling both together as a neat package on eBay. He has completed GTA and subsequently has no need for this XBOX now (we’re not console players, apart from the Wii, but that doesn’t count!) So yeah, its ACTUALLY brand new!!

So please please PLEASE help us in our funding for our big bad move to the big bad smoke!

Clearly this package is well sought after, still! So get you bidding guns at the ready! [Please pass on the details of this auction to your family/friends/related parties! Thanks!]

This Wednesday (7th) I shall be getting a stupidly early train to Kings Cross to embark on my very first London working experience, EEEEK. EEEEK is all I can actually say. I’m nervous. I’m apprehensive. I’m thoroughly excited!

I can’t really let too much slip, not at the moment, but basically I’m going to be doing some freelance writing, Wed 7th-Mon 12th. I’m going to be located at Oxford Circus and lapping up the fashion of our good ol’ Capital City. Fingers crossed this week worth stint will lead onto more work and push me forward for more opportunities!!! That would be perfect… and especially so for our big move this summer to the big smoke aswell!

I shall indeed have LOTS AND LOTS to tell upon my return next week, but for now, wish me luck!

Puffball Dress by BOUTIQUE @ Topshop.

-Puffball Dress by BOUTIQUE @ Topshop, £75.00

This dress is so unique, nothing less than should be expected from the team at BOUTIQUE though. I’d say it’s very much like ALL SAINTS meets Vivienne Westwood actually…

-VIVIENNE WESTWOOD Ruched Grey Skirt, was £164.99. NOW £82.50 (50% off at triads.co.uk)

Click Here to view the item at TRIADS’ website

Going back to the aforementioned TOPSHOP dress in question now. The dress is priced at £75.00 and is 100% SILK, therefore it is Dry Clean Only. The dress is available online at http://www.topshop.com and selected stores that stock the BOUTIQUE range.

FRIDAYS MUST HAVE: ‘Fantasy Horse’ T-Shirt by BOUTIQUE (@ Topshop).

FRIDAYS MUST HAVE:

Friday 18th April 2008.

-“Fantasy Horse” T Shirt by Boutique, £30.00

This t-shirt is amazing, and I’m mostly certainly going to be on the purchase when I visit London in 19 days time! Its so 80s its untrue. I think it’ll look fantastic teamed with super skinny black jeans and seriously killer patent heels, OR, if in my case your no taller than 5 ft, I could get away with wearing it with tights as a dress I reckons.

The ultra-cool ‘fantasy horse’ graphic is printed on 100% cotton and is machine washable. This beaut of a tshirt comes straight from the BOUTIQUE department at TOPSHOP, so this item is only available online (while stocks last ofcourse), and in very selected stores, such as OXFORD CIRCUS, London:)

IN ADDITION, to top it off, see the below dress, taken from http://www.net-a-porter.com where either Topshop have taken their inspiration (which I presume they have), or has MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA twoc’d the design from Topshop??

-‘Wild Horses’ Dress by Maison Martin Margiela, £695.00

The Shoe Project: “GRACE” Premium Shoes, By TOPSHOP.

-“GRACE” Premium Shoes by TOPSHOP, £95.00

I purchased these shoes from the TOPSHOP.com website a year gone Christmas; I’d barely worn them with them being 100% Leather, and the fact I WAS more like a size 4, and bought a size 3 (I impulse bought!) I have to be so so careful I don’t scrape the leather on these shoes, especially with them being white, but the leather is just SO soft, its mad. You definitely get what you pay for.

These days I’m more like a size 2 1/2 than even a size 3! So as it goes, these shoes are slightly too big for me now; but with a party feet gel pad in, they’re more comfortable and fit me like a glove. I adore them. They’re so so pretty and look really vintage-y. The cone heel is beautiful, really comfortable and very feminine.
I actually wore them to my London interview – I bet thats what swung the vote!

FRIDAYS MUST HAVE: TOPSHOP Tulip Skirt.

FRIDAYS MUST HAVE:

Friday 21st March 2008.

Toothbrush Print 100% Silk Tulip Skirt, £50.00.

Well, lets start with the good before I go onto the bad with this stunning skirt…I WAS going to buy this skirt today. The fit is fantastic, and really flattering. The colourway is lovely, you’ve got loads of colour there to pick out and team together your shoes, accessories or cardigan with. In addition, most figures can carry off the Tulip shape as it hides a multitude of sins, what better?! I looked great with my Star Wars Vintage T-Shirt and oversized long cardigan, and t-bars after work today.

Right so unfort, onto the negatives…WELL, I hadn’t mentioned the pricepoint, which comes in at £50.00, justify it, how?! ALSO, with it being 100% SILK, this skirt is Dry Clean Only, so after a few wears you’ll end up spending a fortune on Dry Cleaning Costs. The thing is, I’d actually wear it as an everyday skirt, like one I have similar, from uniform this time last year actually (except thats Cotton and costed a whopping £28!), so obviously, the skirt would be prone to more wear and tear issues, so no, theres no justifying the pricetag and cleaning costs…In addition, the skirt is on the ‘cream label’ from TOPSHOP, which means its in limited edition and probably won’t be in stores for long; but it also means that you know loads of people won’t be wearing it when your out and about! BUT do not let that put you off:) This skirt is still amazing and the best I’ve seen in that style, so far!

This skirt is available in stores and online at TOPSHOP.com

-“ROSA” Platform Sandal in Blush, by TOPSHOP, £60.00.

These ROSA shoes also come in a Cherry Red, tres sexy:) I think I might have to purchase the ‘blush’ colour for a wedding I’m going to in July… I think they’d go perfectly with a floaty floral feminine dress. MMM alliteration central! hehe. Both the blush and black colours are available in most stores and online at TOPSHOP.com

Kate Moss for TOPSHOP: The Launch, Today, Tuesday 18th March.

Since my previous post on the range, Here , the range has launched….

I didn’t manage to have a look at the range, DESPITE being at work all day today – but I have to say, its realllly disappointing from looking at the TOPSHOP.com website.

The preview image showed the ‘Top Five’ items…

I really liked the look of the embroidered dress, 2nd left. But the dress looks really shapeless and much whiter on the website. I would have preferred it to look like the above image really, it looks much more vintage-y and quirky. The dress below looks rather like a dress from H&M to be honest, and with that in mind, theres no justification for the £60.00 pricetag.

-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP Embroidered Tunic Dress, £60.00.
As far as I’m aware this tunic dress didn’t even come into stores this morning;I have a feeling it’s going to be a repeat of the Spotty One-Shoulder Dress from the very first collection… where we only got a few sizes in each colour, and they leapt from the shopfloor as fast as they came in, leaving everyone sitting on eBay for hours on end!

-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, Daisy Print Tea Dress, £60.00

As for this dress, as always, it looks wonderful on Kate, and especially so in Ibizan sunshine! But as before, it looks cheap and not work 60notes. Infact, I’d go as far as to liken it to Primark!

-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, Yellow 50s Style Dress, £45.00.

-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, Aqua 50s Style Dress, £45.00

Now this dress I REALLY like and hope its in work tomorrow still. I’m torn between the Aqua and the Yellow though! Which to go for! They’re both lovely and perfect for a Summer Wedding I’m attending! I can’t decide at all, I don’t have a single dress thats Yellow, or Aqua, so I need an informed decision I think…

-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, “IBIZA” Sandal, £25.00

-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, “IBIZA” Sandal, £25.00

These sandals are really good value for £25.00, they’re 100% leather and will go with everything. At least theyre on par with Topshop anyway.

-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, ‘Top Hat Tee’, £20.00

-Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, Spotty Bandeau Dress, £150.00

Yes you read right, £150.00 for the above dress! I don’t understand why, apart from it probably being from her Limited Collection (around 250 pieces are made and that is it… each piece is numbered). But STILL. I can guarantee that ASOS.com will have a copy in the next couple of weeks….

I’m quite attracted to this print, for some reason… I’d probably wear this t-shirt if not for the low cut neck line, I much prefer round higher collars.

I shall indeed have a good look at the collection tomorrow in ‘real life’ and hopefully my doubts will be reversed! But as a customer be aware you are limited to purchases through the range; one item, in one size, from each category. In other words, you can only get one dress for example, in one size; this is to reduce the amount of items ending up on eBay for instance, and to be fair to all customers, considering the limited amount of sizes available in stores.

*Also available in NAVY.*

I don’t understand why these shoes aren’t selling in my store. I think I’ve sold literally 2 pairs since they arrived a few weeks ago. The heel height is perfect and they look so pretty with dresses and along with jeans. Theyre perfect for wearing for a dinner-date, going dancing, or even just wandering around the shops! So please buy these lovely shoes…. and unusually, they have a male name! (TOPSHOP shoes always take female names/object names, ie, Lollipop or Shuffle). Coincidently, my beautiful fiance is called James, I think thats why I’m so connected….
