Stand out from the crowds.

We visited high street favourite French Connection this week for a sneak peak at their autumn/winter collection.
Floaty, loose-fit fabrics contrast with what other stores are offering this coming season . . . making their beautifully flattering feminine cuts stand out a mile. The black Kathmandu dress, £95, is destined to turn more than a few heads, but this stunning garment is will only work for the taller customer. The Persian print dress, however, looks great alone with black or coloured leggings, or with the ribbon detail skinny jeans, pictured. For the trend followers, take this seasons layering to your own extreme and add hidden depths to that average dress or vest. Be daring with this prominent navy and scarlet print bandeau dress on top of a metallic silver vest, £20, with a striped cardigan to drape over the shoulders. Jewellery really reflects your personality. Play safe with black and silver bead necklaces or double up sophisticated finer beads. You could even differ further with the unique button detail necklace. Ballet pumps keep the look soft and effortless. We like the navy pumps with stitch detail, £45. To achieve the look in full add a woollen hat such as the black aker-boy style cap at £25, and add splashes of colour from waisted belts or large handbags such as the red leatherette one we chose. Finally, team them with coloured bangles. |
